Summer vacation is in full swing! The family and I had a chance to escape the heat and head to Muir woods for a fun family day. We ended up taking a pretty crazy hike that was much further than we had intended but hours later we were still in good spirits. Especially after seeing a pair of owls chatting and a young buck.
I happend to receive my bullet journal I have been anxiously waiting on. A Leuchtturm1917 Lemon-Dotted-Pocket. Trying to make organizing my life a little more fun, but yellow seems to work! Check it out on my Instagram page!
Just to give you guys an idea of what I have been working on outside of the blog and podcast is a few things to help start ups get their check list of what they need to do to get moving. So many extra small business owners have to do it all. And they can’t. We can’t catch everything and do it all well.
A lot of businesses or future businesses I chat with struggle with how to get out of the creative stage, to get into the actual business side. Or maybe what do I need to do get my website up? Or my email to look more professional. So often credibility is lost when we see: firstname.lastname@example.org vs email@example.com. So, how do you do that, and quickly!
No worries! I’m getting a time line and tips out soon! Be on the look out for that.
This week I started a new book by Brene Brown – Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead I am absolutely loving it. If you listened to my episode on authenticity you heard a clip from her very popular ted talk which is what spurred my on to read this book.
She focuses on the being vulnerable and what it’s actually a strength. Being vulnerable doesn’t mean weak but rather we can understand ourselves well enough to be strong. It relates to being a better leader, parent, friend. We are so stuck in a world full of fake, while we crave real.
Have you ever searched for an item, maybe something for your upcoming camping trip or a gift for Father’s Day and then headed over to Facebook and saw and ad for that very item?
